Need To Live
07:22
|
|||
You hear so many voices and
Some are on your side
Can you hear mine?
May you follow those that kindly lead you,
Aim not to deceive you
And as such, are keeping you alive
Waiting for don't know what
As if to hold your breath wishing you'd sigh
Barely begun, yet comes the feeling
Maybe time's already nigh
This game has never been fair
And we never got briefed on the rules
like refusing to be used as the fool for anyone
['s] no guarantee that a fool you won't still become
Time froze at dawn,
In still streets spilled red with dimly scattered sun
The dream, still alive, that dreamt you
Pulling at your coat-sleeve wanting to become
I could sit at home and count the warning signs
but I need to live
When comes the bone collector,
Have you the nerve to sever a toe of your own?
At least it's up to you then which part of you should go
more than regret
you're running malware that you just haven't yet
de-bugged; in that you're not alone
A death none could expect,
grisly as the worst of luck have met
Could befall you away or home
But may we walk upright
However sane and able
All told, we're in line to fall apart
But can you hear it,
a chorus approaching earshot
They warmly harmonize, singing
Live,
We've exhaustively sought
your unlikely and brilliant point of light
More than more matter it's comprised
What we need to live
Someone call a doctor
A good faith interlocutor
A momentary muse
So much ahead to mend,
Help me pull the thread right through
Set word and deed to right
No one else is gonna give you the keys to live
Live as a creator
Procrastinate later
I'm begging you
It's in what you're damned to shoulder
that can make you strong and true

The Threshold
03:15
|
|||
<Andrew>
Between a sensation and a stillness a breath becomes truth freed
A wearisome witness is awaiting relief
A distinction only serves as a definition, a shining forth
From a collectively-determined prison
And a self, well it has no reality at all
Its only a guide to something you wanted to know
In all ways of being let your doubt be cleared
Dissolve the fear of loss and the loss of fear
You are the past and a presence in a future coalescing
A vision of self that has just begun manifesting
An emanation of clarity from perplexions subtle and stark
A dynamic static that just wants to dissolve
A motion of uncertainties that wish to resolve
From all of our conclusions, well time is just a moment of perfection resolutions
From one identity through infinite eyes
Entwined and deriving from synchronous ties
A confluence is born from all of our desiring
Ecstatic thresholds of liminal conspiring
Horizons of splendor concealed within
Our mortality revealing our meanings hidden
Of the immortal untold, of prophecies foretold
In time we are but of each other's consequence,
For nothing happens without perfect recompense
</Andrew>
What marks the threshold beyond which you'd turn away?
What limits have you when you're turning back?
Don't wonder too hard who really calls the shots around here
'Cause we've been waiting ever since forever to get that clear
What hand guides you true in strange terrain?
When you're a solo act speaking proudly out of turn
And refuse to pathologize ordinary feelings
Else they keep closing faster, closing faster
More you unlearn
What can be said to the innocent
Upon their first step free after 30 years in a cage?
Though enraptured that at long last gone are those years
(they're never quite gone)
And now they're faster
Getting faster with age with age

Such regret
You cowered from your chance to hear
Cycle's back but once per
Hundred thousand years
And it's so far from here
Don't worry,
Might not be so long
You let in the
Evil scratching at your door
Surfaced that in you which
Ain't so good and pure
And still you ask for more
Don't worry
Might not be so long
Your projections
Might be proven wrong
Ever grateful living sans-lobotomy
Executive in training for a quarter century
See how far you've come to be
Falling more wisely
Failing more wisely
Falling more wisely
Falling down
I heard they found you broken in the big parade
Like a baby grand played in jest and wildly out of tune
But the path is lit by those who walked this way before
I implore you return the favor
Thank your struggle
Hence and heretofore
